welcome to the site ohp800max! I have a high school classmate that lives out there in Yukon, OK. I used to spend way too much time across town from you in Norman and have brought my ATV down there and rode in the Canadian river both north of OKC and down near Purcell, plus at Crossbar Ranch and one other place close to OKC that I drawing a blank on. At any rate, welcome to the site and if I come down there again, I'll have to look you up!

Rockbanger, Y
Look me up next time you are in Yukon. Looks like you are hitting most of the "decent" spots around the Metro area, but I've goy a few other great spots here close. The "real" riding for Oklahoma is in SE Oklahoma. Not quite Colorado, but very good for Oklahoma and it suprises mosy folks who think of Oklahoma as just barren farmland. Thanks so much for the welcome and the info on Colorado. I'm thinking of making one more quick trip before the weather closes in. Thanks!!!

Elkbow,

I hope you mean that, because YES, I want to come ride New Mexico sometime! I have always heard there is some beautiful riding there in the mountains. A few of my partners and I have planned trips to Scipapoo? Not sure if that is the correct spelling, but it has never panned out. We always spend a week and a half at Taylor Park, Co every year. I'm always up for riding, and driving a good distance is not a big deal. If you get bored and want to schedule some riding, let me know. Thanks for the welcome!!!

Elkbow, What is the riding season there in New Mexico? Year round? Summer months? I was curious.

OHP800max New Mexico has alot of riding across the state with 5 national forest based and Blm land scattered in between. The riding season is dependent what mother nature does. The question when and where do you want to ride?

we can ride year round, but high mountains are buried in snow, so have to drop down in altitude, not as much fun riding because its more desert and not very many established trails, but still fun to get out
