I have a 10.8 Volt Lithium Ion cordless Dremel tool. I have had it for several years. I had used it to grind some stone models and the dust from that activity is very abrasive.

I lost the nose cap and never got another one, and it had developed a wobble that you could see by turning by hand and created a ton of vibration at speed.

I was looking on Ebay to replace it, but then took a look at the website and got the address for service and sent it in Monday of last week. Today, I got it back. I figured to find a note saying that it could not be fixed and to buy another.

I open the box and there is the old Dremel and some paperwork. I look and the nosecap is new, and the whole front end is new and turn it on....no wobble! The paperwork included the replaced items-new nosecap, new front half, new m-o-t-o-r! Paperwork also had ZERO-$0.00 charges.

I don't remember filling out any warranty card when I got it. I could have, but never mentioned anything to them about "I want it fixed under warranty", or anything about warranty.

I was quite surprised. Since most people only gripe when things go wrong, I have written them a letter of thanks and that I will continue to buy and recommend their products. You know, make one person happy and they tell ten people, make one person unhappy and they tell everyone!

I am going to tell anyone who will listen.
Thanks Dremel!

That's good to hear. Another company that is great is Thompson/Center Arms with their black powder weapons. You can buy one at a pawn shop and have a problem with something worn out and they will replace it for free.
