You still can update, just don't update the main 6.1 part and it will still work,

Hobbles, do you mean Version 1.60. Do you have a link with more information?

I downloaded ver, 6.1 on my Wifes puter last night and got a corrupt file and then did it on mine this mornin with the same results. I will try it again tomorrow and see if it's fixed. I haven't found any info that they know it's not workin yet.

Dab nabbit Boys, I transposed the numbers as Deolman stated. It is 1.6, not 6.1. I do that Periodically, Spybot has fixed the link.

I had previously loaded V1.6 and it was causing me some difficulties on a couple of my PCs. One of the recommendations was to completely remove it and re-install it. I followed these instructions to uninstall it. This seems to have fixed several of the problems I was seeing - on both PCs.

I have noticed a long time ago that the add/remove program that's in windows don't always remove the sub directory's and that does cause problems. I still use Norton Commander to find anything/everything in my puter. I don't think they make it any more, but it is a good program. I even have the dos ver which will remove anything on a puter. Windows has always liked to hide and protect some files. Darn puters...
