I am using an LCD TV for a monitor, and have been for a year, with no problems. I am getting this flickering for just an instant where what is on the bottom of the scree or top pops into view in the middle of the screen for just an instant, then disappears. Also, if the cursor is in a box, like when filling out a form, the flickering causes the cursor to disappear. The refresh rate is set at 60. If I go higher, it gets worse.

Mostly annoying. Occurs at a rate of every 2-3 seconds.

I have not changed anything and went thru the windows help and it listed nothing that helped. I turned off the computer and let it sit and restarted. Checked all my connections to the monitor.

Wonder if the monitor is going bad? Any ideas are appreciated.

Are you using an HDMI cable for your input from the computer? Everything I have read says refresh rate of 60 should fix flickers. only other thing I found had to do with the HDMI cable because it is not made for computer I/O.

Here is a thread that I found that talks about this a little LCD TV Monitor Good luck!

I had that kind of a problem on my old plasma monitor the fix for me was a new video card.

Dont know what else it could be on a LCD monitor as I just put my first one in a few weeks ago.

Installed a new NVIDIA card and....it does not flicker if I am on 1024 x 768 pixels (it does every 10 or so seconds), but does it like before on 1152 x 864, both on 60 Hz.

If I let the NVIDIA software select the optimal resolution, it is horrible.
