My desk top comuter my daughter has all messed up. It takes about 20 minutes to get sign on. So I bought my a HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop. So far I am liking it. I was told that the MSN program takes up a lot of space. But that I can go to internet explorer and still look at my E-mails just the same. That works great. But now I can't see my favorites. Nor do I know where to create a new favorites list on the lap top. Can anyone please help instruct me on how to create a favorites list? I had all my fourms listed in it and that made it easy for me to sign on.

Thanks,

Tom

I assume IE7.... So just to the left of the "Tabs" there is a "star" That is a combination of "favorites" and "history" Just to the right of that is a "star" with a plus sign. That is an easy way to add a site to favorites.

I hope that helps

Log on the old pc again and launch internet explorer. Click on file> then the import-export link. Select export> favorites and save it on the desktop or somewhere handy. Then you can copy it to a usb flash drive. Take it to the new laptop and and do an import and you'll have all your favorites back. Won't make any difference if they are running different version of internet explorer as long as its 5 or newer or what OS is on the pc's. I keep mine on a network share and have pulled them down on everything from win 2000 thru vista.
