I like to go fast and play on jumps. Right now I have a Magnum 330 and handled it fine on the tighter trails, but I was getting left behind on the open trails. I would like to get a LT Z400 to play on instead. I was wondering if this is going to be to much of a bike for me.

Just get to know the bike before you do anything crazy and you will be fine. I have a few friends who ride these bikes and love them.

They are plenty fast and light so get ya a good set of shocks and air it out Smile

I had one of these and they will rip, wish I had never sold it now. You will feel overwhelmed at first, but like warghoul said just start out easy and wear more protective gear.

I have a friend who works for an atv magazine who recommended the Suzuki 400 when I was inquiring with him about quads in this class. He certainly is more impressed with the Suzuki than the Honda 400ex.

I ride the rockies (rocks and more rocks) and really like the IRS on a sport quad. I've had a solid axle in the past and they can beat you up pretty good after a day of riding in rocks and ruts. Much better clearance and less fatique at the end of a ride.

x2, my 03 660R raptor beat the crap out of me at times and I was always stuck unless the trails were groomed which around here is a big no. I really liked my raptor it was just to much on the trails for me, with all the work that was done to it it would pull the front end like nothing else and it took me for ever to get use to riding on the trails. I would say if I end up with another sport quad it will be of the 450 or 500 class.

Looks like we are going to get the 400 later this week. The trails that we ride are pretty will maintained. But how well will it hold out crossing creeks?

I would think it would be just fine, the guys that I ride with who have sport quads have a couple different sets of tires for trail riding with the 4x4 and other sets for riding with just other sport quads. When they ride with us they get a set of 22" Mud Lite XL tires for the rear and they have no problems unless it gets real deep but we have plenty of people with a winch to get them out. The sport guys here in Ohio normaly dont have any problems with water crossings.

Got the quad last week. Now I want to get some different wheels and tires for the terrain we ride. We mostly ride the "outlaw trails" in WVA. Any suggestions???? Can I go with a larger tire and still be ok??
