I had been thinking of disconnecting the rear sway bar for over a month now, and finally got the time to remove it tonight.
It is alot easier to rock side to side, which would come in real handy in the snow, when you are trying to break open a trail for the "other" brands.

The downside is, it seems alot easier to tip when you take a high speed corner.

I will try and post a ride report after this weekend. After the coop 45 mod and this one, It seemed to really take off alot quicker. Maybe the "looseness" made it just seem like it, but I hit 25 mph in no time flat.

Was thinking maybe you found some ponies in that little thing. ROFL

I ran across a mod for the popo where they did a quick disconnect thing like folks do for jeeps, etc. That way you can disconnect when you need articulation or reconnect it when you need stability.

I saw the same thing on a king, but I didn't have the time tonight. If I like it I may try a quick disconnect.

I've broke trail too many times (not to mention a tow or two) for Kemper in snow to know you must have fallin' off the Mad Cow and hit your head. You must be confusing Bomb and Hondu Big Grin

It was my understanding that removing sway bars was for rock crawling at speeds under 10mph, the quick disconnect would be the way to go, or I'd leave it on for safety's sake. Still a cool mod though.... Thumbup

I am going to see if it is worth the effort this weekend. If I like it I will probably look at a quick disconnect. I may need someone who is a little more mechanicaly inclined to help, though. I think you are right about the safety issue.

Greg, I haven't had the time to do anything yet. But I saw some pictures here.
