Yes, it's that time again. This fall, when I get back from my internship in California, I plan on purchasing a new quad. I'm pretty knowledgable with them, and have been looking hard at the KQ 700. I've been a zuke fan for a long time, had a 97 KQ (go figure Big Grin) and now have my 01 AC 500 (zuke powerplant). I've looked into the cats, polaris, and yammy's, and the KQ seems to appeal to me more than them. I won't even look at honda...they just don't have the feature that I want. Outy 800 is a nice ride, but no dealers in the area.

What does everyone think about their KQ. My riding style varies, mostly trails...at a very fast pace so I need a good handling quad that I can throw around with ease. I have read that the stock tires aren't great, but I plan to have the 589's on my Cat taken off and put on the zuke. Stock size for the front of the Zuk is 25 8x12, will my 10x12's fit without a problem?

Overall...the Zuke seems to be the machine for me, but If you can persuade me to something else, I'll give them a shot!

I like mine! I'd still buy one over another make if I had it to do over.

Any truth to the rumor of a 750cc or 800 KQ? May be worth the wait??? You'll either get a better deal on the 700 or the latest and greatest. Good Luck to ya....

Well, I'll definitely being waiting till September. I won't be return from California until the end of August. I've never been a fan of first year machines, but if the new rumored 750 or 800 is just a KQ with a bigger engine, I'll definitely give it a ride...but If i can get a leftover 700 for a good price I'd probably be content with that.

I have about 300 miles on my '07 KQ 700 all in CO mountains as high as 13000 ft no problems excellent ride, plenty of power lots of compliments from Honda and PoPo riders, only complaints from me are the plastic rivets holding most of the plastic on I have already broken three of them, probably carelessness on my part but I think they could have used something different even metal screws would work better in my opinion but overall I think it is the best machine in its class

Rode SPRING CREEK today with a 700 KING. Yes fine machine for sure. The plastic rivets are far easier and cheaper than replacing plastic where a bolt has tore it out as it had no give. Count your blessings that ZUKI thought that far ahead.

The HONDUS and POPOs out number ZUKI I would guess 20-1 at least, so yes there will be more complaints. I only know of two that we ride with.

I read a press release a couple days ago that said the KQ will be 750cc for 08, due out in September. No other changes mentioned.

You can buy GM plastic radiator clips dirt cheap at your auto parts store that fit the holes of the KQ fenders and they don't tear out nearly as easily as the Suzuki ones but still tear out instead of ripping your fender. They have a central push pin. The part # here is a Canadian one and won't help you.

If you have the 'nads, cut the wire going to pin 15 of the big ECU under the seat, the red/green wire. You can also just take the pin connector out of the plug if you are too cautious to commit to cut.
That will disable the low lock limiter that requires you to push the override button when in 'lock' but still prevents you from having full power. That's all it will do.
With the wire cut you have full power available in any forward situation, no button holding. Big Grin
