How are Suzuki CVT clutches designed? Is it like the polaris clutches where the belts are loose or is it like the Yamaha clutches where there is constant tension on the belt and use a sprag clutch to allow the disengagement on the clutch?

Don't have any but have heard that they are the same as the Yamaha!

Under constant tension, rock solid like the Yamaha, and Arctic Cat.

Actually the sprague clutch only engages when drive train speed tries to exceed the crankshaft speed, so that there is engine compression braking.
It is the centrifugal clutch that lets machine stay at rest while the engine idles, but drive when the RPM picks up.
