Well I stopped by the dealership today and finally decided I wanted more horses under my hood so I traded my KQ 450 for a 07 700 KQ. I managed to keep all of my add-ons and I get a newer winch out of the deal. It will cost me more but I figure it's worth having all the power I want. Instead of my old green 450 I got a sleek black machine and it will look even better. Cool Maybe I'll post some pics after I go pick it up and put on my stuff Tues.

Again congrats.

I do feel a little something coming on, now that you mention it.... Big Grin It would be nice to have it almost broken in before the weekend. How many hrs do you have on the Mad Kaw now?

I'm interested in the VDI too. Maybe the price will come down sometime too. Sounds like it works best once you've done a pipe and the clutch. My skids have paid for all the time I put into them but I really do need to make some CV guards.

Hey Rock..

I have raced several Kawi 750's with my Outty 800 and there is really only about 1 or so bike length difference in a 100 yard sprint....

Well I picked up the new quad today after work. I said goodbye to the old 450 and loaded up the new 700. Boy it sure looks nice and even better after I put my Bighorns on. Took it out riding and put on 7 miles tonight near the house. The HP difference is staggering when you're used to the 450. I hope that the heavier BHs don't take too much off of the performance. I also didn't go nuts with my throttle thumb tonight. Does everything that my old 450KQ did but with more power and speed. I have to put my bumper and skids on. The new winch should be at the dlr later this week. I haven't decided where I want the switches for my warmers mounted but I'm sure I'll figure out a good place. The pics are not the best but it was dark when I got done and I'll add more when I get all of my stuff back on.

Voodoo- your KQ looks sharp with the black SS108s

Catfish- I am so much happier having all of the HP I was missing on my KQ450. I seems to handle just the same but feels much lighter and peppier. I suppose that may change a little when I put the stainless steel skids, winch, and bumper on. I think I need to soften up my suspension and this one may get the castor mod too. I am also planning to do the NYROC coop45 clutch mod to get a little more oomph on the bottom end. Once I get it broken in I am interested to see what the top speed is if I can stand it. I recall 55 on my 450 seemed very fast. I'm also glad that a spare belt can be found substantially cheaper than the Mitsuboshi that is the only available belt (that I know of anyway) for the 450 at $179.

LaMigra- Mine won't look like yours for long just haven't had time to put on my old stuff yet.

You have one heck of a set up that's for sure. I hope it's everything you want, need and then some.

Again GREAT LOOKING QUAD!

CONGRATS!

I finally put on my skids, winch, and bumper. Still have a little more break-in riding to do before I fully unleash the King but almost there. I have yet to add my grip and thumb heaters but I'll do that soon. All put together
