Back2 worked his magic, so I am off to Oklahoma tomorrow to pick up this...another project quad. I will be modding this machine out with some pretty different stuff, I haven't done to my other machines.

I ll keep you posted Voodoo I am going to go in a different direction with this machine. Going to try some new stuff.

Here it is, definitely the power feels more solid than our 700. Low end lag is gone.

Does the KQ 750 warrant buying over the KQ 700? Is the power that much better? We can get pretty good deals on the KQ 700 right now. $6099 out the door. Don't know if I can get that close on a 750 and was wondering if it is really worth it. Thanks

Are you telling me that the ECM on the new KQ750 has been updated to eliminate the "LOW END LAG'?? That has been a major complaint on the Nyroc ATV forum sense 2005 when the KQ700 came out. My 07 probably has the LAG but I installed 25" BigHorns to keep the gearing ratio as close to stock as the larger BigHorns would allow and the lag has never been an issue with me.
Congratulation on your purchase (good color selection) and I am most curious about your experiments, torture tests and upgrades that you apply to this KQ750.

Wow, lots of questions shock

Sorry, just been super busy with Work and the Mag. Plus, trying to get ready for a big weekend trip to Arkansas, to map out a new trail ride for people.

Atvgirl86, yeah, I pretty stoked getting another King Quad. The first one we had for about 5 months the 700, and I was breaking that in for my brother in law, and was riding it nearly every day, and fell in love with it. At that time it was the more refine version of my Grizz 660. So, yeah, I am still feeling out where I am going with this one, but I think I have an idea. It will be along the lines in what I have done with the Grizz 700, but the KQ won't see the mud. I ll post some updates as I make the changes.

Elkbow, yeah, my head is spinning, I almost need to start adding stabil to the gas on some of these machines, since they are not in the rotation as often.

TNMule, Right now i am working on a head to head comparison of the Outty 800 vs Grizz 700, i am about 3/4 of the way through that review. After that I am going to sneak in a quick 500 mile review on the 08 Brute 750EFI, alot people want that. After that, I will do a Head to Head review against the KQ 700EFI vs KQ 750EFI. I have a ton of material on the KQ 700EFI since I have been very close to that machine for so long. I just need more seat on the KQ 750EFI, but my gut feeling right off the bat they are basically the same machine, minus an extra 27cc, and few suspension changes. Other than that its the same machine, and I ll show that through an in-depth review on my mag site. Just a quick thing. The KQ 700 to the KQ 750 is very similar to the Grizz 660 to the Grizz 700 in one specific sense of the power increase, the Grizzly transformation was much more dramatic and greater than the King Quad transformation in the overall sense. In some ways I wish Suzuki kicked it up notch higher than what they did. Still love the King Quad, great overall machine, very, very similar to the Grizzly 700, with a slight advantage to the Grizzly 700. I ll explain and break all that down later on.

I agree Voodoo, I have so much material right now, I am little overloaded, thus my lack of appearances on the forums. But, I am trying to knock them down one at a time.

TNmule, without getting into a 5 page review between the two machines, in which I will do on my Mag site. My personal opinion after having a 06 KQ 700EFI

and now owning the KQ 750EFI

If you can get a smoking deal like you indicated I would get the KQ 700EFI, in my opinion its not worth spending an extra $1,000 for the KQ 750. Yeah, the KQ 750 has slightly more power, and the low lag is gone, but to be honest Tnmule the lag everyone spoke about on the KQ 700 was not a big deal to me, and I never even paid attention to it. Its like the dead spot on the 08 BF 750EFI its 1 sec issue. I would get the KQ 700EFI for that price. Now if you are talking about a $100 or $200 difference yeah, what the heck buy the KQ 750.

Stutzis, yes the low end lag is gone on the 750, but as I said above it always was a non-issue for me on the KQ 700 we had. I never looked at the King Quad as a speed racer/demon like the Brute Force or Outlander so it never bothered me. But, yeah we have some cool stuff plan for this machine, and will be putting it through the paces right next to the other hogs.

Catfish, some of the machines are beginning to overlap a little bit.

08 BF 750EFI & 06 OL 800EFI racing/trail demons

02 Grizz 660 pure hardcore mudder.

02 Rubi 500 farm machine/garbage hauler/work horse

07 SP 500X2 Deluxe Off camber/technical/long haul 90+ mile trail quad. Nothing compares to this machine when it comes to that type of riding.

07 Grizz 700EFI jack of all trades, back up hardcore mudder to the Grizz 660/trail machine/ off camber/technical. The Grizz 700 is rock solid overall performer.

08 KQ 750EFI so far trail machine. No mud, no full time off camber/technical machine. Don't get me wrong the KQ will do all those things, but so far I am leaning for a pure trail machine. Similar to the SP 500, but with a total different trail setup, and performance setup.

Anyways, that where they stand so far, of course all that can change. But, for review proposes all the machines will be run through the Gauntlet test of mudding/hill climbs/off camber/technical/racing/etc...

As far as the King Quad 750, I have a big trip coming up to Arkansas this weekend, and I will break it in up there. So, I ll have better feel for it over the weekend. When I get back I ll start that head to head report between the KQ 700 vs KQ 750, just like I need to for the Grizz 660 vs Grizz 700, and BF 750 vs BF 750EFI. There is alot to do. So far that is what is going on.

Oh, real quick the first mod going on the KQ 750 are heated grips. Going out there in a little bit to put them. I bought 3 sets, one for the SP 500X2, one for the Grizz 700, and one for the KQ 750. Love the heated grips. I have been using them on the SP 500X2, must have for cold climates.

Thanks Stutzuis.

Rockbanger, I personally like and use Swisher Heated Grips on all our machines. I am about to do a full review on them.

LaMigra,

Thanks for the reply. I think I will go with the 700. I will eventually put a pipe and controller on it anyway. Has anyone used the HMF kit?(controller/pipe/air filter combo). I've seen an advertised gain of 14hp with this combo. I bet that would take care of low end lag! What suspension changes does the 750 have and has that affected the steering?
