That is very sad We live about 60 mile south of there and there are mines every where around here. I had a friend once who some how just missed riding his 3 wheeler into 1 at the top of a hill,scary scary

That is sad. I saw it on the news yesteray.Hope the second girl will be ok. That had to have been a living nightmare for the father.
Maybe riders need to start marking all those shafts as they come across them if they are not already doing so.

yikes, that is sad.

Years ago I was driving what appeared to be a fairly well traveled 4x4 road in my pickup, I came to the top of a hill where you could not see what was on the other side, thankfully I stopped, got out, and took a look....a big open hole mine shaft was on the other side, if I had even nosed over to see, it may have been too late.
