well so far so good with the rzr. following is a list of changes so far. added all parts and pieces to get it street legal here in mi..now for the good stuff in order. 1- heelclicker kit, 10.5 grams and the white hc. spring. 2- complete gibson ss. 2-1 exh. system. 3- UNI foam filter with airbox lid modifcations, they leak from the factory. more on the repair after i ride it some. all said and done the sound is awesome and it reaches top end much quicker. got to race a t-rex this weekend, i blu him away last time with just the clutchkit, but he has been poren money into his ride and he doesn't like to loose. so far it's been a blast, but it has a lot of annoying polaris problems like weak springs and cheap hardware with the accessories. more later.......stroker

Thanks for the update. Saw the pics in the Polaris pic thread and it looks great. If you had to do it over again, would you still get the RZR?

I like the looks of the Gibson exhaust. I dont know if the springs on my wifes rzr are gonna make it thru the summer, I hope so. I run a UNI with an Outerwear and I am still having issues. Just a poor airbox/air intake design IMO. Stroker, you try 2 O-Rings in the box lid yet? You rear diff leaking yet? Mine is, I just havent had the gumption to fix it yet.

i really don't think thats the solution. for now i cut some .010 brass shim stock and formed a shim around the catch on the lid and this put considerably more tension on the o-ring in that area. just ordered 4 hook latches from mcmaster-carr, #1889a22 and i.m going to install all 4 when i get them. will post more on that later. cajin, yes i woulddo the rzr again as the problems a just a continuation of what we all find as weak points on the polaris atv's. and it was a pretty much doctors orders type of deal, but i couldn't get medicare to cover it, dang.......stroker

i put the 4 new spring latches on the air box cover and retained the stock ones as well, also used 2 spring clips from early pol. pvt covers. haven't had a chance to test for dust yey as we just had a 10-12" rainstorm, but i did have the airbox about 1/2 submerged and so far so good......stroker

I have had two PVT cover clips in place of the cheesy OEM clamps for about 600 miles. Cover is as tight as a drum and NO leaks. Heard on the PRC forum the new cover seals are foam like the PVT cover gasket. Anyone back that up?

Can I get the name of your Doctor. Not sure I will ride my 800 with the nerve damage on my left side. Is the rzr that much easier to handle?

twolf, yes the rzr is a lot better than an ATV, the bars just fight our old worn out bones and joints, and the rack and pinion steering on the RZR is so much easier on the body. i have the body of an old guy, but i don't like to ride with old folks, they tend to go to slow and not do any thing exiting. i like mud, hillclimbing and drag racing and with the rzr i can still do that, not all day long, but still play.....stroker
