first off "thank you guys" for responding on my last harness topic . i have narrowed it down on what i am going to get.
after all the reading i been doing on the net, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE STOCK SEAT BELT that came with the rhino are not that safe.
most of you guys that responded to my past harness posts are from out west and do most of your riding in the desert.
i am up north and do all woods/trail and mud riding. one member suggested on another forum that he would not get a 4 to 5 point harness because of the comfort level that the harness provides. (he is saying that trail riding requires a lot of head/neck movement to see where you are going and the amount of times you have to back up the rhino your neck will kill you a the end of the day. as i can see his point but never been is a 4-5 point restraint system how is the level of comfort ? will i be as mobile as the stock belt system if i get the 4-5 point system? i don't wont to feel that it is a over kill to just trail ride a slow speeds but i wont to have all my bases comfort when it comes to safety.
i have a 07 stock cage rhino and to install a 4-5 point harness system i need to buy a cross bar for the rhino to install the harness ($145.00) no getting around that. and the harnesses i am still looking at my options..
thanks again,,.

We had 3inch wide 5 point harnesses in our Yerf-dog go carts and the boys and MOM loved them. Our carts got rolled on their sides fairly regularily and the boys loved the security that these belt provided. Never did they complian about lacking any mobility and after you had them adjusted, they weren't difficult to put on. So I find it hard to believe that these would impair your ability to move your head around or decrease your comfort. BTW, we bought our belts through Summit Racing or Jegs but I don't recall which right now.

you probely have your harness by now, but here are my suggestions. five point with pull down adjusters, y mount system, either latch deal works but cam locks are much more priecy. i perfer impact brand, but all meet specs. i like the y mount because i feel it is a safer deal, less chance of one or both belts sliding off sholders during a wreck, when things bend. the lap belts MUST be installed per mfg. directions.. these are my observations after 35+ yrs. of stock racing......stroker

it is important to know what you know, but far more important to know what you don't know......

I have got 4 points in our RZR. They work good, if you come out of them you got some serious problems.
Now for the bad, you can forget looking behind you, so be prepared to buy a rearview mirror. Also try and get the one with the car seat belt type latch, they are easier to get on that fiddleing with a bunch of individual staps.

I've got 4 points in my RZR. Very satisfied but you will need a rear veiw mirror and it's takes a little getting used to getting in and out of your ride.
