Question:
Whats the best ruv?

Choices:
800 polaris RZR
700 YAMAHA RHINO
750 KAWASAKI TERYX
WAIT FOR CAN AMS SXS

I see Alot of votes for the RZR, and it probably is the best trail rig,but for hunting I am not so sure that little space in the back they call the bed would be big enough, unless you were talking about bird hunting.LOL

I started to pick the Kawi, and I would pick the KAWI if I was looking to buy right away. I piced wait on the Can-am. Just becasue they tend to come out with really class leading products. The only thing on the Kawi I might have to think twice about, would be that its running carbs and not EFI. However after setting one its for sure one of the most comforatable and with a 750 twin it should have smooth and adiquate power.

A lot of people around here hunt and use their RZR to help. Many really like it for just hunting and that is all it gets used for, they like the size in the woods.

I am a Can Am Fan, but I have heard that it will be 2010 before they release one... If I were to pick one right now..it would be The Polaris Ranger..it is a True work Horse and proven in the field.. the RZR would be to small for me in the storage area..... The Rhino has a tendency to be top heavy and will roll over..IMO.

Oh for sure if I needed a work horse I would go with the ranger also for its size and ability to carry everything.

I work with 2 guys who are avid hunters and they have both said that their RZR is the best thing to get them into the woods and then use to drag out a deer because of its size.

I agree about the RZR and use in wooded areas or for hunting...they will fit where the ranger will not,,.. I have not test drove the new Teryx yet, but it does have the 750 KAWI Motor in it, which is powerful motor...

If you don't care about EFI, I think the Teryx is the way to go, powerful and utility in one. I don't think you can go wrong with the 700 Rhino, which is why I bought one. The RZR is a blast, which is why I bought one; but don't think it's got enough utility and only time will tell on durability. Who knows about CanAm? Picking the best is like comparing apples and oranges.

If you vary lots of altitude while riding, you will appreciate the EFI. We have a RZR, but we dont hunt and dont do farm work with it. Its a super fun machine, faster than you can go on 99% of the trails, its smaller footprint over the Rhino is nice, just a couple of inches makes a difference in the tight trails and rocks. It smokes the Rhino in the dunes, no question about it. My RZR requires moderate amounts of maintenance, more than any other machine I own or have owned. I dont mind it so much myself, but it may be something you want to consider.
They are all the best at what they were designed to do, if you got some good tools and know how to spin them, go for the RZR if you think that will fit your utility needs. Its a blast to fly down the whoops with.

hey voodoo I talked to my can am dealer on sat and he said that he thinks from what he has heard that it will probably be 2010 or so and it would be more than likely like the razor .as for the teryx i love the crap out of mine I ride whith 5 rhinos and a razor most of the time and they all do pretty much the same trails and all are about the same in mud and hill climbing . the razor that rides with us has widened it 6 " and lifted it 2" the rhinos that are with are group are pretty much stock and 2 out of the three rides we have been on atleast one of them has tipped over as for the rex i havent done any mods and have had it rock crawling on 3 wheels and it felt very stable .so after 40 hrs of use the only things i don't like is the lack of fuel guage and having to use the choke too start it .

did a little drag racing this past weekend, all were stock or close too it. #1 rzr #2 t-rex #3 rino. the rzr's were much quicker than the others, as they should be with 800 cc's and a good clutch setup from the factory.......stroker

it is important to know what you know, but far more important to know what you don't know......

If you're not going to be carrying a large load most of the time, the versatility of the smaller RZR would make it hard to beat in my book. On the other hand if you were needing to carry bales of hay all the time, I would definitely lean toward the larger variety of UTV.

Let's Go Riding, Gordon

1999 400 Xplorer (Ryans), 2000 400 Scrambler 4x4 (Jasons), 2004.5 700 Sportsman (MINE!)
Love them 2 strokers, and big twins!

I've been watching the tread and I see everyone pushing you for what THEY like .... RZR if great even with zero clearance, Rhino sucks, Teryx is OK blah, blah ....
Do yourself a favor - read ScottCO's reviews in this Utility Vehicle tread.
He has them all and he did a GREAT job reviewing them.
Good luck.

PS: On a personal note - I, myself - the Yamaha guy Smile I'm thinking to get a Teryx when they are coming with FI .....

One more thing .... go to G-Force in Colfax - or at least call them .... you can try a variety of UTV's ... they have a place on the back that you can try them.
