Two different worlds I know, but I am thinking of getting one or the other.

I know all about the Ruby, what I don't know is the Rhino.

I am or will be looking for a machine that can haul my butt around the woods, pull some fire wood on the trailer, haul a few deer, and take ice fishing.

Any one know anything about the Rhino 450?

Thanks
Catfish

I seen a couple in the mountains and they look like they are ok. I would think they would be a little low on power due to their weight and the elevation, but they go where the driver points them and I sure at your elevation would probably due just fine.

The 450 is geared a little lower than the 660. I have a Ruby and a 660 Rhino. I still run the Ruby around to keep the fluids circulated, but use the Rhino for everything.

It is nice to have a roof, windshield, toolbox, space, different width and length of stance for areas rutted by ATVs, good back support, etc. Bad weather is not so miserable with the shelter of the roof and all. I had a local shop make me a little rear "windshield" that snaps on like a Jeep top. I can roll it down or snap it on for more or less coverage.

I would sell my Ruby over the Rhino. For your needs, I would seriously look at the 450.

We have a tech here in our shop that has a 450 Rhino. I have driven it and I don't think you will be disappointed. It is nowhere built for speed, but has plenty of low end grunt to haul items around. Smile

Thanks guys, but I decided to go with the Grizzly 700 FI EPS.
Until Wisconsin allows side by sides on the trails I will stick with wheelers.
But the day they do allow them you can bet that I will be upgrading.

Well much has changed in the last few months.

We (wife and I) only rode the trails 1 time all this summer and neither of us really care to trail ride anymore or at least not like we use to anyways, so we traded in the wheelers for a Rhino.

We test drove the 450, the 660 and the new 700 and went with the 450.

Let me tell ya we are loving this machine, it has become so handy here at the house and down on the farm.

I can't wait for winter so I can start plowing.
The machine has plenty of power (more then we need) and goes plenty fast, top speed is 37 mph on a straight road.

We've had it up there just 1 time, 99% of the time we are under 15 mph which suits us just fine.

The dump box has been put to good use hauling crushed rocks, dirt, landscape blocks etc.

We've built a bridge across wide enough for the Rhino and strong enough for a full load in the Rhino and a full load in the polar cart.

All in all we are truly enjoying the Rhino.

Almost forgot, the Rhino is an 07 Camo with black rims, roof and 3,000 lb warn winch with remote.
