The Ramsey weighs @ 4 to 5 pounds more than warn but other than that which is best in the long haul?

Check out the motor rating, amp draw, gear reduction ratio . . . this info ought to identify the hardest puller.

Otherwise, I'd imagine the reliability and durability about equal.

The later Warns have disk-type mechanical brakes; might be a desirable feature.

And, some Warns have the spool in the center, providing more versatile cleareance for different mounts.

Don't think you can go wrong with either.

I have a new Superwinch ATV3000 I'm waiting to try . . . center spool, mechanical brake, etc.; we'll see how it works out!

I am biased .. I have always been a Warn fan.. so Warn over Ramsey...JMO

I've had both, neither has failed....

I have a Ramsey because they had a remote 3,000# cheaper than the Warn 2,500 when I bought it.

The Warn 2.5 and 3.0 are the same winch (motor gears and spool. The only diff is the 3.0 has wireless remote. I chose the 2.5XT for my bike.
