when do you think 09 will be avalible?

I am betting my dealer will have them 6 to 8 weeks. He always gets them in early and leaves them crated up.

I had planned on talking to them today but I am gonna wait until the dealer meeting is over Friday and then ask about a deposit on an 09.

After calling several dealer it seems that some think late July, others as far out as October/Novermber. I am hoping for late July, that way I can get a good amount of seat time in on the thing prior winter . I didn't get my Cat untill the dead of winter last year. I ordered it in JUNE 07 Rec it JAN 08'. I a really hope that does not happen again.

I have heard anywhere from August to November thus far...from 4 different dealers...

Talked to my dealer late this evening he said to call him next week and he would tell me exactly when they would be arriving. Apparently he's getting the paper work next week. And he would hold one for me with a deposit down.

Went by a Dealer in Dallas today and he said that most likely....Can Am will not ship the 09's until after Can Am Nationals ..which is August 1-3...in about 7 weeks or so....

Well I called the dealership back today and he said they were ordering the 09s one day this week. He said to call him back Friday and he would tell me what they ordered and when they would be delivered.

Well guys I just spoke with them and they are ordered and are supposed to be there "sometime in July." Thats all I can you, that and the Standard 1 seat 800 is 8949$ and the XT 800 checks in at 9,999$ officially. SO whoever said they were going up 50 bucks was wrong. He said if I wanted to make a deposit down he would put me on the first one they get.

I haven't really decided yet for sure because I am fixing to start a new job and am waiting on it to break open.

So a couple weeks to ponder this I suppose. But that is a pretty hefty increase and was honestly more than I was expecting. You could buy a Rhino or Rzr for that easy here.

I didn't ask about the other models pricing but assume all the 800r models are now higher.

Ouch....pretty big jump. I guess those horses are expensive in mexico. I paid $9K for my XT over 3 years ago.

I certainly wouldn't put the CanAm and Rzr/Rhino in the same class though. If you need a sxs, that's what you should get. Won't the dealer work with you on price at all? I'd certainly ask or go look elsewhere. Sales are down on all quads, so they need to bend a bit. The line to give the dealer is "I'm a buyer, but not at this price"

The other option to consider is get the base model and add tires and such as funds come available. Not a bad way to go actually.

I think that 50 dollar deal came from a guy on the frontier that was at a test ride even and was told that by one of the BRP people working the event. But Voodoo can atest to the compentency of those guys working the events, he watched me arguing with one of them, then I got there brouchure out for him and showed him he didn't know what he was talking about. It was pretty sad, how little those people know about there products there selling.

That's not uncommon. I'm used to salemen knowing little or nothing about their product. I even ask them questions about their product that I know the answer to just to see if I should even bother with them. Most times... NOT!

I was there at Mud Nats... and CC knew more about Can Am's Quads than the Rep did...

Well I think that guy on there said that the rep told him this......Also Weasel told me to spread it around about his review coming last week in a pm.....so I posted it every darn where...now over a week later and no review......

It does not take 2 weeks to write some short reviews. The only machines changed were the ones with the 800 engine. So that means 800R MAX, single seat, Renegade, and maybe an XT outy, but even then were still only talking motor changes and skids were added.

I have been ribbing him a little aevery few days, LOL.

I spoke with my local dealer a few minuts ago and he said he recieved his early order order form, and there was everything on it except models with the 800R, he called his rep, to find out what the deal was, and was told the didn't even have there Demo units built yet, that it was going to be a while, and didn't have a date to even offer us as to when we would even be able to order a 800R in any model.

I am going to check with the other dealer I was working with to see what he says.

That's about right.... One of my local dealers may be right then... September or October....

Well I called back today after a few weeks and he said they were still in limbo......So he said it is still scheduled for July but who knows?

I have heard there is gonna be a 1000 Sportsman announced this week.

I am still just kicking back and waiting on the these last few hold outs, HONDA to see what is what. I started my new job so I am waiting to make the purchase.
