We had a great ride in tons of snow down at Texas Creek, CO yesterday, this is VERY unusal, I've been riding over 10 years, and there has never been a winter where we couldn't go to TC and ride all the trails with ease! We got some good riding in, but the snow stopoped us in a lot of places. Of course this is the Bomb's element and it did very well in these conditions. Especially after I turned the 4wd on Slap

The other thing that hit me since we were riding with some new folk, and had a good size group, was that when I started riding you'd go on a ride this size or larger and see every make and model of machine, 250 KQ's, 300 Fourtrax, a Kawi, a little of everything. If you had a 400cc machine, that was something!

Then the Polaris 500 came along, and they ruled with the power, IRS, auto tranny, etc. etc. I'd go on rides and it would be 8 Polaris machines and my Foreman and a KQ.

Now it seems we have come full circle, not one Polaris on the ride yesterday, there were KQ's, Brutes, Grizz, BRP. All great machines, even though there were no Poo Poo's there, I can't help thinking that we owe Polaris a thanks for pushing the envelope and making these other manufactufers step it up and get with the program faster then they may have otherwise, even Honda has an IRS machine with FI now. Eek

Do you think I'm getting soft or just feeling sorry for Polaris? Shrug

Soft. Big Grin

I like riding with alot of different machines, makes it interesting and you learn alot, especially about tires yesterday.

I hate when we're stopped and someone flips the switch on my 4wd without me knowing it. Big Grin

It is nice that we have choices that we have today. Wasn't long ago they were pretty limited.

Cabman...you useless pile of parrot droppings, I was trying to figure out how in the heck I accidently turned that switch off..you got me a good one! You wouldn't want that to happen at moab...huh?

Yeah, you're right (as usual), I guess we're even. I sure dug a big hole on the trail though....

Glad the Bomb worked good for you and all the other models that ran along behind. Geeeee no popo's guess I will have to look around some more before I get a new quad. Shrug

zHey, glad to hear from you Stringbean, -6 Burrrr that's cold! Polaris has it's strengths, that's for sure, with your back, you don't have too many to look at! I'm with Cabman, I just love seeing all the different quads out on the trail and such, meant nothing more then that. Great choices.

Sounds like a great ride, and you guys had alot of fun, cool.

Yeah, its amazing how much these machines have improved, there are not many I dislike. And, the Mid-size class is just amazing. For awhile there is was all or nothing, you either buy a monster big bore, and get all the bell whistle, or buy a mid-size with nothing on it. Now, the mid-sizes are mirror images of the monster big bores, but with less power.
