I know..they don't mean squat..but Quads tests are usually pretty good and I think it's fun to read them.

First test they did last month was the CanAm 800 vs the Polaris 800, they picked the CanAm by a slim margin. (excellent magazize Smile, these guys know what they're doing I think) I can't believe it wasn't discussed in the Polaris Forum goodnight

This month they did the Brute vs the King Quad 750. Surprising to me they picked the KQ. The test seemed to be right on from my observations. I still thought they would pick the Brute because of that engine.

Next month is the Grizz vs Rincon vs Artic Cat, all the also rans I guess. ROFL

Anyone else see it?

I agree that QUAD seems to be one of the better rags. But sad part is that it is like DIRTY WHEELS all advertiseing.

Trust me when I say that you're not going to like the outcome of the "Big Bore Shootout". Without giving away the winner, let's just say they gave it to the model that won most "Big Bore" shootouts this year.

I never pay much attention to these magazine rated tests... biased or not biased as it may be ...to me the best quad is the ONE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH, not what some editor of a rag says... in the end you are the judge...I have owned several brands and happy with what I have now... and enjoyed the previous brands as well...

I got the mag yesterday at Safeway.....didn't look at the month.

Winners were:
1. Grizz
2. King Quad
3. Outlander

I have no problem with that at all, I know if I was buying new...those would be the three i would consider. All great machines.

Yep I agree.... The one thing I like about the Grizz is the Power Steering for sure.. but for pure power neither of that top two can touch the Can Am....

Yeah I have had that last edition, in fact the one you don't even have yet for a month. The final three showdown. Not sure I exactly agree with everything but Lance the dude that did the article as been taking major heat over at Can Am riders forum. But he comes on and answeres quesstions about it all the time.

Most were mad there because they didn't use an xt model Outlander and used the grizz with EPS. I know they always rate the Rincon higher than I would. They actually picked it over the Outlander and even picked the King to.

Shoot outs like that are just opinions of a few guys. If you had a whole new set of riders out come would be different. I don't base my buying on what the rags say, I can watch the machines on the trails I know what works what don't.

QUAD was right on in their shoot out seeing how one of the quads I ride won. Razz

I can't say much on their review of the sport quad where the Outlaw was in the comparo since mine came in mid-pack. They must be wrong! Big Grin

Then why aren't you riding a Grizzly? ROFL

I'm not really sure I agree...I think the only way to really tell is to ride them. Put a poor rider on a great quad, or a good rider on a new quad, and the quad may not look that great.
Point being..they are all so close these days, I thnk you really need to ride one to know if it serves your purpose the best... Shrug

Yeah, definitely. I wished I could take those 3 or 4 machines and ride them back to back on the same trails here at my home. Thats really the only way to tell what you are gonna like best WHERE you ride. Thats a big factor they never mention. The lackluster engine braking on the Rincon sorta killed everything else that was great about the machine for me. Because here it is a big deal. Some places they could careless about engine braking.
