Guys and Gals..

I bought and installed a Supertrapp Silencer-Spark Arrestor for my Ron Wood Exhaust system today.. It really reduced the db's quiet a bit... I believe the Ron Wood stock is around 100 db's... the Supertrapp spark arrestor is approved for USFS sound levels of about 93 db's...

I am gonna use this silencer for trail rides and just putting around the farm... When I am involved with races of any kind ...I will put the original end back on... It only took about 5 minutes to change them out....

Does the Ron Wood's exhaust use a supertrapp muffler?

No it is a total Ron Wood design ,,,including slightly larger headers, ceramic coated, and Open Exhaust can... It was designed for the Can Am Racing team by Ron Wood and Rotax...

The silencer was desinged by Supertrapp for the Ron Wood System and just slips on the end of the can and held with three screws...

Here is a decent pic of it from a side shot...

Pic 13 of 21 shows how open it is from the back view...

This is a link to the Ron Wood Site..

There is not one. The head pipes on the RW were done, becasue RW wanted to market the BRP OE snowmobiles intake as part of a rw performance kit, ron woods had to rerout the head pipes to make the intake fit.

Hey Taylor and Welcome to QS.... If you want a slip on with performance and good sound...go with the HMF.... The RW full system ...MAY give a little more HP than the HMF slip on , but not much................

Oh...and by the way.... you may not need the power commander.... I would do some dyno test to see where you are at first.... the PC is best out there IMO, but if you can get around 13 to 1 A/F ratio...without it ...then do it.

A little bit off topic, but has anyone heard the LTE exhaust on the Outty?? I found some on youtube on the renegades and the looney tuned exhaust, just couldnt find any with the outty...
They boast a big gain with their full system. Just curious what they sound like and how accurate their statement on their gains are...

Here is a link to LTE's site... I have heard clips of them on a Outty .they sound pretty good... Kind of like a HMF or similar

The 13% increase in HP..is pushing it a little bit... that would be a 8 HP increase... IMO and from the DYNO work I have done and also what CC1999 has done... 4 to 6 is HP gain with an aftermarket exhaust...
