The Official press release will be May 31st..

Expected new Models are:

Outlander:
Black Model

Red Model
Same outrageous 69 HP Motor

Well fortunately I don't have to trade since I sold my Rincon 2 years back. I have been patiently waiting since then.

A couple thing I had planned on doing is waiting and actually seeing the 09 press release to make a decision. No other bike out there catches me right now UNLESS Honda were to bring it this fall with a New Rincon, rumored.

But I am tired of waiting and if news doesn't come soon I had planned on either an 09 or 08 Outlander. I don't really think they will be that big a difference in them guys. Cetrtainly not enough to warrant a trade up were you will take a big lost on value. Thats why I sold min out right first.

Now either 08 or 09 I would like to see the black. If its the glossy black it goes all to hell in no time. So I might still go with yellow I had just planned on paying down around 4500$ on whichever one I like. Then finance the other hald that way it won't be too bad of a lick.

If I do decide on 09 I am gonna go over to a dealers and go ahead and put the money down shortly that way I can get one when the start arriving because if you don't someone else will have your bike taken already. I am just gonna wait till all the facts are out and I am getting ready to start a new job here in a few weeks. So once all that gets going I am gonna make a move this summer.

Well I am gonna buy new. I got 5400 out of the Rincon. That was damn good for an 05 model.

I have been laid off for a while. I could buy one new cash money but I think I would feel guilty about it after being off so long lol. Thats one of the things about the construction buisness, fest or famine. I had worked 2 years strait and there was no jobs this winter when I got laid off but a new one has started up. Thats why I always keep cash back because you never know. Been drawing UE all winter.

You know I am already to go, on a new black 09 std model 800.

I can't remember now, were they supose to get dual brakes this year, or is that still just the gades that will have the dual brake controls?

It is RENEGADE ONLY. I think I am gonna go ahead all out and just get the xt. It looks like good value and skids or course.

I guess the 800r will be available xt? Not really sure...My mine worry of bending the frame as subsided somwhat now.. But i am gonna go ahead and get insurance also. I think if you ride like a person with some sense and not a moron you won't bend the frame. I know a guy here who is a gncc racer and he put 3300 miles on one in 10 months. He said he went through 4 of those trailing arms and that was it. Jumping the bike high will bend them

Above is a great video review of the 08 Outlander 800xt. It shows them jumping it during the test and bending the trailing arm also.

I have the 08 gades dual brakes on my 06 Outy, so thats not a big deal, I can have my mechanic swap them over to the new Outy if need be.

Any idea on what they ment by restyled front end. I was wondering if they gave it some projector beams like the gades. That might be pretty cool.

I have not been a big fan of the XTs, I have owned 3 of them and ended up stripping them down to std models except I did leave the winch on one of them. I like a lighter machine, plus if I want a winch, I preffer a Ramsey with wireless remote and that nylon cableling. I also always change out the rims for better apperance and, the added offset the aftermarket rims provide aid in handeling and stabilty by a pretty good margin. The new rims used on the later XTs look nice but do not offer the wider track so there is no gain in handeling or stabilty with the XT rims. So for me the XT is really a waste of money.

The Diamond G outy I just bought a few months ago was an XT as well, one of the things that is bing done to it while the dealer has it this week is the winch is being removed, I already pulled the bumpers, I am planning to weigh the XT parts this time, once I get them all off. I am betting its pretty close to a 100 pounds, it's got to be at least 75 pounds. Thats about a 1/6-1/10 of the quads total weight. I do like the XT's hand guards, but those are cheap and easy to add to any outy for under a 100 bucks if i remember right they like 60 bucks.

The one major issue I had with my gade was the lack of fender protection. If you happen to hit a puddle flying down a trail, it was instantly sprayed all over ya. That and there was nowhere to put anything, like a bag or cargo box, that is needed for the big all day rides I do out in Colorado every summer.

If I remember my specs right the difference between a STD Outy 800 (non XT) and the Gade, was 32 pounds. Granted the gade is a sweet looking machine, it was just not all that practical or versital enough for me.
