Sorry I can't help with the 400, but I would like to suggest purchasing a service manual to help you address some of the nagging issues that are probably simple fixes. You don't want them to start piling up on you, or you will have a pile of junk....no matter what brand your quad is.

You might find more info on the 400 over at Aurora Wheelers website, a few more BRP riders over there.

Oh Yeah...welcome to the site! Glad to have you.

ATVER is right it is nothing but a machine and POO will happen. A manual is a good investment well worth the money. You shouldn't have to put up with any thing thats not right. Get an easy out drill that screw install a new one.

Maybe I can help a little bit, as crazy and simple as this sounds make sure the kill switch is in the run position, you would be surprised at the units we hear won't start and that is the problem. A 400 will foul the plug in cold weather especially trying to start with the choke on and you are pumping the throttle. When starting try full choke and just very minor amount of throttle if any. The plug is reached by popping off the left side panel near the airbox. Thats the left side if you are setting on it. Starting in gear usually requires you to hold the brake in tight. If you haven't, check the bulb to see if it is blown. Just to be sure I would replace it anyway just to be sure, also check the fuse it is located in the front storage box, check your manual to see which fuse controls the brake light. If thats not the problem I would check the wiring to see if I had a loose connection. As Cob said an easy out for the broke screw and replace it should be a easy fix. Hope this helps. Thumbup
