I had everything I needed except I couldn't locate any black hose 2 inch ID, using AlaskaGriz's set up as a reference. I finally found some hose on Ebay, a Black Marine fuel hose, but I ordered 1-1/2 inch ID, had a brain fart. I decided that the 1-1/2 would have to do instead of the 2inch that Griz used. I ended up omitting a 2 inch coupler and a 45* street elbow.

Till I got it all fitted in and trimmed to fit, I used roughly 20 inches of hose, and 5 inches of ABS, or in my case PVC painted black. At the moment I don't have any pics, but I didn't use any zippy ties, it is kinda snug. The 2 inch rubber elbow fit the exhaust outlet like a glove.

The rubber hose I got from The Marine Surplus on ebay, and has a wire threw it, so you can egg it a bit to gain more clearance for around the shifter linkage.

I took the splash guard off the left inner fender, as I was also going to tackle the intakes. After scoping it out I decided to pass on this mod now. I think I'll be OK with the stock set up. If I end up sinking it, I'll do that mod then. Put everything back together, and you can't tell the exhaust is re-routed.

I also used a Aluminized rain pipe repair tape, verses heat tape. The stuff I had was pretty thick tape, and I wrapped the 2 rubber 90* elbows where it's close to the engines exhaust pipe.

The only time I had a lot of water in my CVT came in thru the exhaust, so probably a pretty good mod. Honestly, I haven't looked around down there much, so i don't have any idea what you speak off in your instructions. But I'm sure they make sense to any one conteplating the idea. Thanks for the info....

It's really kinda simple and easy to do, Hardest part is keeping the black RTV sealant off of you. Remove the seat, both side panels, cowling over the airbox and dash pod. All come apart with ease, they have those rubber grommets that the panels push into. Clamps for the stock exhaust ducting is on the left side. BRP uses a rubber sleeve to connect the duct to the exhaust port. Remove the screw holding the duct with a 10mm socket. The stock duct is a upside down U, which is very low and explains how easy water can get in.

Then all you do is connect a rubber elbow, cut a 2 inch piece of abs/pvc, insert into other end, connect the other rubber elbow and angle it up (as in AlaskaGriz pictures). Now beings as I used the 1-1/2 inch hose (2" OD) I cut another piece of abs/pvc about 1-1/2 inches long, slid the hose inside with the rtv sealant to seal it up. I drilled a few holes and pop-riveted the hose to the pipe.

I started out with the 24 inches of rubber hose and trimmed it down once I got the 90* elbow up underneath the airbox, dash-pod. Marked the hose and cut it, then did another dry fit, marked the hose and elbow where it fit in. Took it out, applied the RTV sealant inserted to elbow, drilled a few holes then the rivets.

I must admit it seems like a lot of greek, but as mentioned easy and simple to do. The clamps came with the rubber elbows. Aluminized Rain gutter tape I got at BigLot's for like $4.00 made in "USA".

The cylinder heads appears to be higher then what the stock exhaust duct appears to be. This mod puts it at about shifter height or a little higher, all tucked in out of sight and protected with the dashpod, airbox cowling.
