I just talked to CC1999 and he bought a black 09 Outty 800R XT in Colarodo.. and the paper work shows that the HP is 68.4...... which is 6.4 or so more than the later models...

CC is in Colorado until Sunday and does not have Internet access...

The new Polaris is gonna be pretty good I think... I feel it will not be as fast as the R, but will be a Mud Demon for sure...

I don't think there is one in ST.Elmo, just a rental place that rents ACs , they buy there ACs in Beuna Vista at the AC dealer there. After hunting pretty much all over the country, I fianlly found one at one of the smallest dealers in the country, in Leadville CO, about 30 miles north of beana vista where our Cabin is, we went up there becasue my Dad was wanting to trade for new one, I had planned to get one here at my local dealer later whenever they came in, I just could not resist when I finally saw it, and my dad said he wanted to wait since they didn't wnat to take any trades this late in the season, I cracked paid the extra money and ended up taking it home. Bad thing was I went out with my one place trailer, so my X2 is stuck out there at out cabin till I can get another trip out put together. LOL

I really like the new Outy, I spent 3 days on the X2 and its a nice machine, but its really hard to top an Outy for overall comfort and performance, I hope the new 850 Popo's live up to the hipe, but just the same its going to have to really be something special to dethrone the Outy in my eyes as the best overall machine money can buy. This new one does not have that punch that the 06s -08s have, at least after my short ride on the 09 yesterday indicated. I will know more after I get a chance to really do some comparisons and get hte 09 broke in , right now I would say the 09 800R is a refined version of the 06's with most all the little things having been addressed making a truly great machine even better. Mind you I am not saying faster, becasue that is yet to be seen as to rather its any faster than an 06'. As Vodoo mentioned the HP on the title says it should be, but there are a lot of reports floting around the web saying there not. I will reserve coment untill I can test them together and see first hand the results of the new setup. The ridabilty factor is improved by the changes but drag race perfomance, I am not so sure.

Thanks for the report cc, I was kidding about St Elmo! But Leadville surprises me too...I've seen them sitting out there when driving through. Not sure how they get them before the bigger dealers here in the Springs... Shrug

They normally don't, he said they made him take a bunch of units, he still had some 07s still in the crates. A year or two ago I was through there and I bet there were not more then 4 new quads in the whole place. I have called out there before to see if he had different units and normally it was a wasted phone call, but for what ever reason he had more 09s setting there than any dealer I know of. He has had them a while too, Mine is number 000011 by its vin it was number 11 off the line for 09', built back in July.
